Blandy's Dinner

Welcome to the first dinner celebrating this wide selection of iconic fortified wines produced and bottled in Madeira. We will be joined by Chris Blandy who will ease Members into the world of Madeira and the Blandy family. Throughout its long history on the island the family has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine for over 200 years. John Blandy founded the Company 210 years ago after coming back from India and through the generations Chris Blandy is currently running the Company. The Blandy’s are the last family of original founders of the Madeira wine trade that still own and manage their original wine company.

The evening will see the launch of a new 10 year old range and we shall be one of the first to see the new designed and elegant clear glass bottles moving away from the dark glass traditional look. The blends have been reworked to enhance the vibrancy and freshness of the wines and the evening will end with the Vintage Terrantez 1978.

During the four-course dinner hosted in the Astor Room and crafted by our Executive Head Chef, Gary Esprit you will be transported into the exotic magical world of Madeira and the best the Island has to offer.
