Chairman's Message
Welcome to the Naval and Military Club – otherwise known as the In and Out, a nickname that originated from the carriage gates at our old clubhouse at 94 Piccadilly and which we have carried forward to our magnificent clubhouse at No 4 St James's Square. We are universally known across clubland as the In and Out and proud of it too!
The Naval and Military Club, known informally as 'The In and Out’, draws its heritage and a significant proportion of its members from the Armed Services. We also welcome members from a range of other professions and backgrounds; indeed it is the diversity of our membership that gives the Club its character.
We are very fortunate to be situated in St James’s with easy access to the most important, interesting and exciting parts of London. The Clubhouse provides a comfortable and welcoming base for socialising, entertaining, relaxing and staying overnight. Our staff are there to ensure members and their guests are well looked after and have an enjoyable and rewarding time.
Our splendid public rooms, comfortable bedrooms and excellent business and fitness centre, all set around a spacious courtyard, lend themselves equally to formal events and more relaxed occasions, with dress codes to match from formal to smart casual.
We are not a private hotel, but a Club where the respect, rapport and camaraderie between Members is an important dimension. We have a busy social calendar and ample opportunity for spontaneous gatherings.
